| Dust Storm |
Dust storm with visibility generally ¼ mile or less and winds of 30mph or more is
occurring or imminent. Thresholds vary depending on region.
Warning Safety Tips: If driving, do not enter the dust storm if you can avoid it. If not, pull vehicle off the pavement as far as possible and turn off lights. Make sure your foot is not on the brake pedal and that brake lights are off. If you can’t pull off the roadway, proceed at a speed suitable for visibility, turn on lights and sound horn occasionally. Never stop on the traveled portion of the roadway. |

| Dense Fog | Issued when fog with visibilities of 1/8 mile or less is occurring or highly likely. | ||
| Blowing Dust | Visibilities less than 1 mile but greater than ¼ mile due to blowing dust. Visibility thresholds vary depending on region. |
